Through this service, a religious group desiring to practice its religious rituals can submit a request to establish and license a new place of worship or a branch of a place of worship, and accordingly choose a representative to start the licensing process

  • Service terms and conditions: Place of Worship must be in Abu Dhabi.
  • Required Documents:
  1. Minutes of Board Resolution For Establishing a Place of Worship Form
  2. Place of Worship Constitution
  3. financial plan for the following 2 years, including the allocated budget
  4. CV copies of founding members
  5. Valid passport copies of founding members
  6. Valid Emirates ID copies of founding members
  7. police clearance certificate copies of founding members
  8. Obtaining a rental contract / completion of a building from the Department of Municipalities and Transport
  9. Certificate of Confirmation from Monitoring and Control Center
  10. Certificate of Confirmation from Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority

  1. Submit the application along with the required documents through the available channels
  2. Receive the initial approval once approved
  3. Provide DCD with the requirements and approvals from the relevant authorities (ADDMT, ADCD, MCC)
  4. Receive the license once approved
