Request to Issue a Social Care Professional Licence

Through this service, you can request the issuance of a license to practice the social care profession in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

• Service terms and conditions: Any social care professional residing in  UAE can apply for a social care licence to practice his/her profession in Abu Dhabi

• Required Documents:

1. Copy of the first two pages of the applicants valid Passport 
2. Digital Copy of a passport sized coloured portrait photo (.jpeg format)
3. Curriculum Vitae (PDF or Microsoft Word format)
4. Attested copy of each relevant Educational Degree
   
   • Legal translation of the degree certificates if issued in any language other than Arabic or English
   • For degrees issued outside of the UAE, these are required to be equalized by the Ministry of Education, UAE
5. Copy of Official Transcript (for each relevant university degree attained)
   
   • Legal translation of the Official Transcript if issued in any language other than Arabic or English
6. Letter(s) of Experience clarifying: job title, responsibilities and period of employment signed by employing facility's authorized signatory covering the past two years of experience
7. Employer Good Standing Certificate as per DCD Form
8. Local or International Police Clearance Certificate:
   
   • Local Police Clearance Certificate: if a resident of more than 6 months. The certificate must have been issued in the last 6 months
   • International Police Clearance Certificate or equivalent from the competent authority in the country of residence and nationality, in the case the applicant is not a local resident or has been a resident for less than 6 months. The certificate must have been issued in the last 6 months
9. Copies of local or international Professional Licenses (if applicable)

• Service Steps:

1. Submit the application along with the required documents through the available channels
2. Receive DCD update to submit additional document if needed
3. Receive Preliminary approval on the request electronically, in addition to notification to fulfill required procedures for license issuance such as providing primary source verification report or passing professional competency assessment
4. In the event of completing all the required procedures as per the notification, the application of social care professional license request will be completed & the license will be received automatically through the available channels
