Strategic plans help shape the Department of Community Development’s objectives and initiatives.
In the short and mid term (3 -5 years), the department works through 26 initiatives and 8 priorities. These include building the necessary database for policy making and legislations in the social sector, creating a social support system targeting citizens in need, and applying the regulations and standards necessary to guarantee high-quality social services, among others.
In the long term (15-20 years), the department is focused on spreading the values of respect, compassion, and kindness by giving everyone the protection and support needed to achieve a dignified life for all.
