H.E Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development emphasized the leading role of the Emirati Woman worldwide in the comprehensive community development which in return contributes in advancing the development of family and community as a whole.

His Excellency extended his sincere regards to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the General women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for motherhood and childhood, Supreme Chairperson of the family development foundation of family development  "Mother of the Emirates" on Emirati Women's Day, which falls under this year’s theme (Preparing for the next fifty years: Women are a support to the nation).

H.E added that Emirati women brighten up the community of the UAE and is a role model to family and the upbringing of the future, and is an essential part of a stable and tolerant family, continuing the journey of achievements the UAE has made since its establishment. The strong presence of the Emirati women along with her kindness and excellence has reflected her true value and trust of our founding father - may his soul rest in peace- emphasizing that "women are not only half of the society, but also are responsible for the upbringing of successful generations ahead."

His Excellency continued: Emirati women are an essential part in supporting the nation, moving forward together preparing for the fifty and we are all confident of their great abilities to face challenges and continue to give with passion and distinction.

The Department of Community Development is working on initiatives and projects that will emphasize and enhance the presence of women in the community in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with roles that develop community members, volunteer work and community participation.
