His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi, emphasized that November 30 is a historic day in which we remember the sacrifices of the martyrs who gave their lives to defend the nation, so that the country remains safe, and preserves its gains.
In a statement on Commemoration Day, His Excellency added that the wise leadership, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE - May God protect him - and his brothers, the rulers of the Emirates, provided exceptional support by honoring these righteous martyrs. They have also been constantly communicating with their families, to provide them with the required help and support.
Al Khaili said: “Commemoration Day is an important national occasion that enhances the values of national cohesion among all the people of the Emirates. It instills pride, honor, and dignity in us for what our heroes achieved in defending our homeland's soil. History throughout the ages will remember the heroic and cultural role and the precious sacrifices of our sons. May the flag of the United Arab Emirates continue to fly high, as they perform their national tasks and duties inside and outside the country in all civil, military, and humanitarian fields.”
His Excellency concluded by saying: “We all extend our salutes to the families of the martyrs who gave the UAE their most precious children, and in doing so they set the most wonderful demonstrations of courage, patriotism, and belonging. We ask God Almighty to bless our honourable martyrs with His vast mercy and to preserve the blessing of safety, peace and stability in our country.
