His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development - Abu Dhabi, has highlighted that Flag Day represents a significant national occasion, celebrating the symbol of our unity and cohesion under a noble banner that embodies the essence of unity, peace, Emirati tolerance, and allegiance to the state.
His Excellency also emphasised that the UAE flag symbolises a journey marked by pioneering and qualitative achievements across various fields of work and creativity. Our nation has proven that it has the ability to surpass the impossible and harbours a multitude of ambitions and dreams, striving to be at the forefront of the world’s countries.
He explained: “Flag Day serves as an occasion that enhances the pride of the people of the country for the many achievements we have achieved in all fields, whether life or science. These achievements underscore the UAE’s ability to move in the right direction drawn by its founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.”
His Excellency explained that, through this occasion, we renew our loyalty to the nation under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and we pledge to achieve even more accomplishments, solidifying the country’s strong standing in various fields, regionally and globally. This must be done by contributing to the comprehensive development process and by developing sustainable strategies and plans that will accomplish the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
