His Excellency Eng. Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi, said: “ Commemoration Day is a national occasion that fills our souls with pride, dignity, and integrity because of the meaning it holds for the great sacrifices made by the people of our nation in all fields, expanding beyond our geographical borders.”

His Excellency added: “The sacrifices of the martyrs of the Emirates will live on in us, and we will draw inspiration from them as meanings of loyalty to this generous nation, which deserves dedication from all of us. The sacrifice of what’s precious to elevate it, will continue the path of its renaissance, build its prosperous future, and keep its flag flying high among the nations, under our wise leadership.

Al Dhaheri explained: “The martyrs of the Emirates represent an important national and humanitarian value, as their sacrifices have established a symbol of honor and pride for future generations to draw inspiration from. By giving their lives to achieve rights and protect the oppressed, we learn lessons that will remain a prominent mark of the history of our country, which was built on the pillars of unity, cohesion, solidarity, loyalty, and belonging.”

His Excellency concluded: “We ask God for forgiveness and mercy for our righteous martyrs, for our wise leadership to have a prosperous life, and for our dear homeland to grow, progress and thrive. We also ask God to preserve the families of the martyrs in their patience, steadfastness, and love for their dear homeland.”
